About the Author

Julian Ashbourn lives in Hertfordshire in England and was one of the very first individuals to successfully design biometric systems and to integrate biometrics into other processes. He was the first to produce biometric related software for 32 bit Windows platforms and has authored a considerable number of technical papers and articles on the subject as well as presenting at conferences and workshops around the world.
